The Best Clarifying Shampoo You Could Ever Use

The Best Clarifying Shampoo You Could Ever Use

Do conventional clarifying shampoos dry out your hair? And then you try to fix that with a rich conditioner that then weighs your hair down and you feel the need to clarify your hair and scalp even more? Is the hunt for the perfect clarifying shampoo like searching for the holy grail?

Yup, we’ve all been there. It’s an annoying problem but we have a super simple DIY solution that works.

Just mix 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda and half a cup of vinegar in a small bowl or cup, then pour gently onto wet hair on your scalp area, and massage it all in for 20-30 seconds. Also make sure you have a little to apply to your tresses if you have longer hair.

If you don’t like the smell of apple cider vinegar, conventional white vinegar works brilliantly, too.

Tip: If you are afraid of getting vinegar in your eyes, just pour this mixture into an empty squeeze tube and apply it to your scalp.

When you are done, just rinse with water, and that’s it! There’s no need for conditioner! This treatment will not dry your hair out and if you use this once a week or even once a fortnight, you will find that your hair is softer, shinier, and less likely to feel dull and heavy.

There are so many bonus points to this DIY clarifying hair and scalp treatment:

⎷ Baking soda and vinegar are pantry staples so most folks won’t have to make a special trip out to the shops.

⎷  It’s chemical-free and great for sensitive scalps.

⎷  It’s extremely affordable.

⎷  It’s quick and easy.

⎷  And it does a fantastic job.

The best I have ever used is the GKhair pH+ clarifying shampoo. It perfectly opens the hair cuticles removing an excess of styling products, dirt, residue, product build up and other impurities. I am using it for the past couple of years and it really works for my oily and greasy hair. To squeeze out the best results leave it 1-3 minutes in slightly wet hair and then rinse it out. An ideal solution for cleansing dreadlocks. Fantastic stuff! 🙂 <3
