With the onset of winter, our skin can freak out especially during times of stress or maybe because we’re having a bit too much fun (or a glass of wine too many) during the holiday season.
Here’s a DIY mask that will rescue parched and/or broken out skin that needs a whole lotta TLC. These are things that can set all right again — banana and Greek yogurt will moisturize dry skin, while ground oats calm redness and irritation. Also, honey has anti-bacterial properties that will help those with acne-prone skin.
1 ripe banana
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon ground oats
Mix everything together with a fork until the mixture is relatively smooth. You might want to lie down while this mask does its magic. Rinse with cool water after 20 minutes.
Tip: You might want to make sure you have a strainer to stop the banana and oats from clogging your sink.
