For our Sunday Spa Night series, we have a deeply moisturizing DIY oatmeal facial scrub for you. The cold dry air of winter can be particularly harsh on skin and we have a simple tutorial you can whip up once or twice a week to keep your skin supple, polished, and hydrated.
Even if you have dry skin, exfoliating dead skin cells away is equally important as using an appropriate face cream. Not only does your skincare sink into your pores more easily, your skin ends up looking bright and smooth.
1 tablespoon rolled oats
½ cup water
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon honey
Boil 1 tablespoon of rolled oats in ½ cup of water until it looks chunky and soft. Cool for 10-15 minutes. Mix olive oil and honey and the scrub should be a thick paste. Rub the oatmeal scrub all over your face — concentrating on dry patches for 30 seconds and then rinse with water.
