Basil is a good choice for smoothies because of its natural sweetness but its peppery nature gives a punchy flavor.

Today’s recipe is bursting with fresh, herbaceous flavor balanced with the sweetness of coconut water and cherries, which is cut through by the tart berries.

Recipe:

½ cup of frozen mixed berries

½ cup of frozen cherries

1 frozen banana

4-5 leaves of basil

Juice of half a lemon

1 tablespoon of chia seeds

1 tablespoon of flax seed

1 scoop of Sparkle Collagen with Verisol

1½ cups of coconut water

 

Put everything in a high-speed blender and blend till smooth.
